Cathy Miles is a metalsmith who uses a unique concoction of wire, found materials and text in her work. She experiments with the possibilities of different scales and mediums. Miles is based in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, and is represented in galleries throughout the UK and abroad, as well as through temporary exhibitions including SOFA, Chicago, and ORIGIN, London. She has written a popular guide to the use of wire working techniques in the production of contemporary artwork.
